Romans 9:2

One of my favorite verses in the entire bible in Romans 9:2. It’s not one of those happy build yourself up verses like Philippians 4:13. It’s Paul talking about the pain he has in his heart for his friends, his brothers, that don’t know Christ. He refers to it as “great sorrow” and  “unceasing anguish”. I can relate to what he is saying in my own life. I know that Jesus is the only one that can save, but I still feel the sorrow and anguish when it feels like all my efforts to share the gospel with someone are failing. In Acts Paul talks about people who reject the gospel he is preaching. He says their blood isn’t on his hands, it’s on their own heads. I suppose moving on when people continually harden their hearts (and praying) are the only things you can do.
